Are you passionate about helping others going through difficult times?

Do you consider yourself to be a good listener?

Response is seeking volunteer crisis counselors and will offer a free training program to those interested in becoming the caring voice on the other end of the phone or online chat.

A 1-year commitment of 4 hours a week is required. Training for all programs include lecture, role-playing exercises, and private and group supervision. We are always looking for counselors who are bilingual in Spanish and English. You must be good with technology and dedicated to ongoing skills development. You must have access to strong WIFI, a laptop or a desktop with a camera, a smartphone, the ability to focus privately for 4 hours once a week for 1 year.

The dates for our remote, online training presented by Response Leaders and Trainers:

Use your laptop/desktop computer with your camera on, we will send you an email to invite you to join a video-chat meeting

Our IT staff will help attendees download and test prior to the training.

If selected to continue with Part II of Response's training, you are then paired with a trainer for a weekly 4 hour shift where you receive one-to-one instruction and experience.

  • Those interested in attending the upcoming training can register now to reserve their spot by completing the online volunteer application, found here: www.responsecrisiscenter.org/v...
